First time recording remotely with Adobe Podcast? Here’s your quick start guide.

This guide is for guests joining a recording session. Joining is easy and stress-free. Adobe Podcast Studio makes sure everyone sounds great, even if your internet connection isn’t perfect, or you don’t have a fancy microphone or camera. Here’s a quick rundown of how simple it is.

Note: Remote recording in Studio is only supported on Google Chrome on desktop.

Join the recording session

  • If you received an email invite, select Join recording session.
  • If you received a link, open it in Google Chrome by pasting the session link into a new tab.

Microphone & camera check

Before joining, you’ll be prompted to set things up:

  • Allow access to your microphone
  • Allow access to your camera (optional)
  • Agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy
  • Enter your name, then select Join session

In the session

Once you’re in:

  • You’ll see any participants who have joined, including the host.
  • At the bottom of the screen, you’ll see whether the session is currently recording.

Adjust your microphone & camera settings

If you’d like to change your microphone or camera:

  • Select the gear icon at the bottom of the screen
  • Choose a different mic or camera instead of your default device

Recording

  • When the host starts recording, you’ll see a recording indicator at the top and bottom of the screen.
  • Relax — you’ll have full control over your microphone and camera throughout the session.
  • Have fun and enjoy the conversation!

After recording

  • When the host stops recording, you’ll see an indicator that the recording has ended.
  • You’re welcome to stay and keep chatting, or select Leave in the top-right corner to exit the recording session.
